My purchase was riddled with issues right from the start. The site was full of glitches, making it impossible to collect an offer I was promised, which felt incredibly dishonest. When I finally tried to get help, I found there was no customer service available 24 hours, no agent to speak with. It was utterly unprofessional. My main frustration is that they don't honor promos, and when they mess up, their solution is to make me jump through hoops. They wanted me to return perfectly good glasses – glasses that were the correct style and prescription – just to RETURN AND REORDER to get the 'buy one get one' offer they messed up and admitted to. A simple credit back to my card used? 'Nah, that's too easy,' seems to be their motto. This is why I felt compelled to engage their so-called customer service and share my story.
Customer: I'm calling about order #[OrderNumber]. Your website glitched, I couldn't apply the promo, and now you expect me to return perfectly good glasses to reorder just because you admit you messed up the BOGO deal? This is ridiculous. CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the technical issues you experienced and the inconvenience this has caused with your promo application. Customer: Inconvenience? You want me to send back glasses that are correct in style and prescription, then reorder them, all because you can't simply apply a credit to my card? That's not a solution, that's a punishment for your error. CS Rep: Our standard procedure for unapplied promotions is to facilitate a return and reorder to ensure the system correctly applies the discount. We aim to process these exchanges as smoothly as possible. Customer: "Smoothly as possible" isn't what I'm looking for. I'm looking for fairness. It's not fair to make me go through this process when you acknowledge it was your mistake. Why can't you just issue the credit?
